On the Threshold: Opening to the Sacred

A contemplative in-person retreat

Saturday, July 17 & Sunday, July 18, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

As our world reopens, we invite you to enter into sacred space to tend to your heart and soul. Opening to the Sacred is a contemplative retreat inviting you to notice and explore sacred times, sacred experiences that show up in your life every now and then, in all sorts of ways. Imagine standing at the threshold of something different, something deeper, something sacred. Imagine Hope. Imagine Healing. Imagine Love. Now, step into the possibilities.

Takes place in person at Journey Center Santa Rosa, 1601 Fourth St., Santa Rosa, CA.

Covid-19 Protocols will be followed.

Optional spiritual direction sessions will be available.

Facilitated by Mindy Braun, Robert Cesaretti, Pamela Cullum, and Sharron Simpson, intern spiritual directors in the Journey Center Association Spiritual Director Formation Program.

    Mindy Braun
Executive Director of Journey Center Santa Rosa

Mindy was drawn to the Journey Center because of the radical hospitality and oasis of rest it provides while at the same time having a clear mission to bring healing and wholeness through encountering the Holy.

Mindy graduated with the 2021 Cohort of the Journey Center Association’s Spiritual Director Formation Program and also became the Executive Director of Journey Center Santa Rosa. Her passion is to create safe, sacred spaces for all people to experience love and belonging. One way she does this is through facilitating various groups – God in Nauture hikes, Poetica Pro Anima (Poetry for the Soul), Art Journal Examen, racial reconciliation groups, and Oasis for Activists.

Her favorite spiritual practices are either art journaling, tending her garden, or hiking in the forest.
