Wild Oasis For Activists
Balancing social action with contemplation will enable you to build resilience for the long haul. Contemplation is a way to nourish your spirit and fill your cup so you can pour out for others. In Wild Oasis, we will also integrate nature as a Source of Refreshment for our weary souls.
Maybe you don’t want to feel so alone in this work. You may be experienced in the important work of advocate and reformer or you may be new to this awakening desire for justice. All our welcome. We will drink in the practice of Lectio Divina (Sacred Reading) together.

Mindy BraunExecutive Director of Journey Center Santa RosaMindy was drawn to the Journey Center because of the radical hospitality and oasis of rest it provides while at the same time having a clear mission to bring healing and wholeness through encountering the Holy.
Mindy graduated with the 2021 Cohort of the Journey Center Association’s Spiritual Director Formation Program and also became the Executive Director of Journey Center Santa Rosa. Her passion is to create safe, sacred spaces for all people to experience love and belonging. One way she does this is through facilitating various groups – God in Nauture hikes, Poetica Pro Anima (Poetry for the Soul), Art Journal Examen, racial reconciliation groups, and Oasis for Activists.
Her favorite spiritual practices are either art journaling, tending her garden, or hiking in the forest.
