The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin word mandatum, or commandment. In Christian tradition, Maundy Thursday, or Holy Thursday, is the day during Holy Week leading up to Easter that reflects Jesus’ words given that evening: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” (John 13:34). It also commemorates Jesus’ final Passover meal with his followers, also known as the Last Supper.

We hope you will join us virtually on Thursday, March 28th from 7:30-8:30pm EST for a time of reflection, prayer, worship, and music, as we gather on this Holy night to be in community, and collectively commemorate the dark days prior to the light of Easter.
