special events series header

We are pleased to offer a new series for men seeking to deepen their mature masculine journey with the support and encouragement of other men. Our intention is to provide a safe and productive place for men to explore what it’s like to live in our modern society with so many expectations and cultural norms that seem to conflict with spiritual growth and wholeness.

Contemplative Guys Group

Meets on the second Monday and fourth Thursday of each month
December 11, January 8 & 25, February 12 & 22, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
(not meeting December 28)

Join other men as we tend to the stirrings of our hearts and minds in pursuit of becoming transformed by the Divine. There are three movements to the evening beginning with time of check-in followed by engaging in a spiritual practice and lastly a discussion of “provocative prompt” (this could be a poem, a quote, a scripture, a theme from a book or simply a question to ponder together). For men interested, we are open to you facilitating a spiritual practice and providing a provocative prompt. Occasionally we will take field trips together and engage in service projects. More>

In Pursuit of Wholeness: Exploring the Four
Jungian Masculine Archetypes

Wednesday, November 29, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
This introductory workshop is for men desiring to understand and embrace the building blocks of the mature masculine, as developed by Carl Jung, the four “archetypes.” These four archetypes (known as King, Warrior, Magician and lover) make up make up a blueprint of the collective unconscious that contribute to forming us as men). By way of teaching, conversation and prayer, you will discover how, in combination with your faith, the archetypes help call us forth in our spiritual journey and create wholeness.

By understanding these archetypes, the age–old axiom of “knowledge is power” will shine the Spirit’s light on how these archetypes can be deliberately called up from our souls in choosing healthy responses in everyday life.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. You can pay and register with our online registration form or by calling the Journey Center at (707) 578–2121. More>
